The magic runs November 17th, 2022 through the new year. Timeslots are available every night of the week. Check available times on our calendar. Holiday Light and Magic (in partnership with the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas Parks and Recreation) is the city’s premier drive thru winter event. Plus, much of the proceeds benefit Unified Government Parks and Rec. Merry, happy, Christma-Kwanza-Hanak-us! And a happy New Year!

We are open from 6pm to 9pm Sunday thru Thursday, but we stay open until 11pm Friday and Saturday nights. Hours can be slightly different nightly, so be sure to book your ticket now and check our calendar for available time slots.

Sometimes. On and around holidays are the busiest times at Holiday Light and Magic. Weekends are also popular (especially Saturdays). On these nights, you can expect wait times for some time slots to be near or sometimes even exceed 1 hour. Please plan restrooms (some available onsite), snacks (often available onsite), and activities accordingly.

The timed slots allow us to funnel traffic more efficiently. That means shorter lines for everyone!

$55 + taxes/fees per commercial bus under 13-ft high (over 15 passenger seats)If purchased at the gate, expect to pay an additional $5 per ticket.
BEWARE OF SCAMMERS SELLING ONLINE. Never buy tickets from individuals online. Multiple people get scammed every season from scalpers selling fake tickets (especially over Facebook). Our tickets are only sold here on our website.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Just kidding, kind of! We will update our website HERE, if the park is closed due to inclement weather conditions. Additionally, we will send you an email! You will need to ‘exchange’ your tickets for a new date and time. What does this mean? Find the confirmation email we sent you with your ticket purchase and follow the prompts to “Exchange tickets”.

No. No one will be allowed outside of their vehicle. All pictures of the lights will need to be taken by one of your passengers, safely from inside the car.

We consider a van a commercial vehicle with 15 or fewer passenger seats. More than that, you are considered a bus. If it is your personal vehicle, you are a standard car. Please purchase your ticket accordingly.

Holiday Light and Magic is a partnership between Jolt Lighting LLC and the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS Parks and Recreation. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the partnership. We are also an official donation location for Children’s Mercy. Any donations given are forwarded directly to Children’s Mercy (specifically, the I Love Children’s Mercy fund).
